Approval of Minutes of meeting held on 23rd March 2017

The minutes of the meeting held on 26th April 2018 had been circulated previously and were approved unanimously. They were signed by the Chair.

Vote of thanks

A vote of thanks was made to Beeswax Dyson for fee provision of their venue for this meeting.

A vote of thanks was made to Phil Todd who fitted a brass clasp to the Notice Board to give a more secure closure.

Declarations of Interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011.

None declared. It was explained that Declarations could be received at any point in the meeting should they arise due to issues raised and discussed.

Update on last meeting

At least four reports of vehicle tyre damage on verges/potholes between West Fen Catchwater  Drain and Folly Lane since last meeting.

Meeting updated on correspondence with LCC Highways on potholes, verges and signposting. Works to be carried out in Stickney/West Fen starting 29th October, continuing for 5 weeks.

Signposting needs further consideration as not seemingly a LCC priority.

It was agreed that the list/details of attendees/apologies would not be displayed or published, merely numbers recorded with name details held by the Clerk.

Planning decisions and notices

Full planning granted on The Boathouse extension.

Folly Lane Solar Farm Community Fund

Bird Boxes. Gary Steele has had an accident. Sadly, Garry is not able to work on the bird cameras or attend today`s meeting. Everyone sent best wishes to him for a swift recovery.

ELDC refused planning consent on the grounds of the Wolds being an area of outstanding natural beauty. Appeal to Secretary of State. Public Inquiry 6 November 2018 in Louth for a 4 day hearing.

Any Other Business

Lincs Fire and Rescue email was read out. Information to be put on Notice Board.

Free “safe and well” home visit offered to vulnerable people. Advice and safety items on offer to those who qualify.

Concerns raised over regular high speeding by a Black Honda Fireblade down West Fen Lane.

Interest was shown in a factory tour of Beeswax Dyson if it could be arranged.

It was agreed that there would be a review of matters discussed in this meeting.

Pothole and signage updates specifically mentioned.

Date, time and venue of next meeting

A date was set for our next Parish Meeting at 7.30pm on 21st March 2019 at Beeswax Dyson, Carrington. The Chair said that she would book the venue.

The meeting was closed at 8.10pm.
