The Chair informed the meeting of the planning decision.

No new planning matters were raised.

Highways update

A letter received from a local elector was read out concerning the condition of the road on Stickney Lane, particularly the road between The Bungalow and Silt Pit Farm.

Discussion was had about that matter and the fact that Folly Lane was deteriorating badly as noted by residents on that road.

LCC have commented by letter to the Clerk that the part of Stickney Lane where the verges have visibly narrowed the road is the only part that LCC will commit to fixing by stoning them up. No indication as to when that will be.

The Clerk was instructed to email the local councillors about the highways once more. The Clerk/Chair would update the occupiers of The Bungalow and follow up with LCC regarding the complaint lodged on Fix My Street if required.

Fly Tipping

No new large loads of waste reported.

The situation at 2 Folly Lane remains unabated however, with an abandoned car and large amounts of waste. Platform Housing have said that they will start a clearance next week.

A.O.B

An elector reported that Witham Forth had failed to drain the dyke at the end of Folly Lane so far this year. It was agreed that if this did not happen soon, the elector could inform the Clerk, who would then contact Witham Forth about the matter.

An email received from the owner of the barn and land the subject matter of application number       S/203/02837/20 was read to the meeting, as per the request of the author of the email.

The Air Ambulance magazine and Viking Link information leaflet that had been received were circulated for perusal by the meeting.
